Terms and Conditions
A Prize Giveaway will be conducted by Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers (CODL) in connection with the Bulldogs Spring Newsletter 2024.
This promotion provides the first five (5) entries correctly received with one (1) free basic Will pack which includes:
- One basic Will by CODL valued up to $500.00, and
- One 50% off discount on a basic will by CODL valued at up to $500.00 for one family member of the winner.
‘Will packs’ (a basic Will for you and 50% off for one family member) will be allocated to the first five readers to correctly email MarketingGroup@codea.com.au with the subject line “ProudToBeABulldog” (based on the time emails are received by the Marketing Team).
A basic will valued up to $500.00 provided under a “Will pack” will be a Will that does not involve the creation of gifts to more than 5 beneficiaries, superannuation advice, creation of life estates and estate planning for assets held in companies or trusts.
The Prize Giveaway is only open to people aged 18 and over and who provide their name, email address and mobile phone number (personal information) via the CODL Bulldogs Landing Page.
The Prize Giveaway is also only open to people for whom CODL can provide legal services under the Legal Professional rules applicable to CODL, for example, CODL cannot provide legal services to a person where CODL has a conflict of interest or where the winner or their family member who is receiving the benefit of the “Will pack” does not have the capacity to make a Will. All legal services will be provided by CODL pursuant to CODL’s usual terms and conditions for providing legal services and all legal services will be provided by a solicitor admitted to practise law in NSW.
Only one entry per person will be accepted. Entries on behalf of another person and joint entries will not be accepted. Prizes are also not exchangeable or transferable.
Employees of CODL and its related entities, their immediate family members, or anyone involved in organising or conducting the Prize Giveaway will not be eligible to enter the Giveaway.
The personal information you have provided by entering in the Prize Giveaway may be used for the purpose of administering the Prize Giveaway, to contact you if you are the winner of the Bulldogs ‘Will pack’ Giveaway Campaign, advising registrants of their prize and, if you agree, to receive marketing material from CODL. This may be by any means of communication including electronic messages (e.g. email). If the information requested is not provided, you may not enter the Giveaway.
CODL will collect, store and disclose your personal information in accordance with the restrictions imposed on us by the Privacy Act 1988 and our Privacy Policy.

The first five entries only will be chosen in accordance with these Terms and Conditions (Winners).
The Prize is valid for 6 months from the date the prize is drawn, TBC 2024.
Winners will be notified via email. The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes. Bonus prizes will not be awarded. Where the Winner is not eligible to enter into the Prize Giveaway then the Prize Giveaway for the unallocated Will pack will be conducted again by CODL at a time and date to be notified to the entrants by email.
CODL may cancel the Prize Giveaway where circumstances beyond its reasonable control prevent CODL from conducting the Prize Giveaway. Should CODL cancel the Prize Giveaway CODL will:
(i) advertise that the Giveaway has been cancelled by email communication to the entrants;
(ii) promptly destroy all entries received; and
(iii) not use the personal information you have provided on the entry form.
CODL is not liable for any loss or claim arising from any cancelation of the Prize Giveaway in circumstances beyond the reasonable control of CODL.
Any dispute concerning the conduct of the Prize Giveaway or the claiming by the Winner of the Prize will be determined by an independent arbitrator appoint by CODL whose decision will be final.
CODLS holds a Trade Promotion Authority issues by the Department of Fair Trading in New South Wales being authority number TP/03809.
