The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Junior Accounts Officer to join our dynamic team in Sydney’s CBD on a casual basis (3 days per week). This role is an excellent opportunity for an accounting or finance student looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and reconciliations
- Support the preparation of financial reports and bank reconciliations
- Maintain and update accounting records with accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist in the processing of trust account transactions in compliance with regulations
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team, including data entry and filing
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding financial queries
About You:
- Currently in 2nd or 3rd year of an Accounting or Finance degree
- Eager to learn with a proactive and positive attitude
- Some experience with accounting systems and intermediate Excel skills (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisation and multitasking abilities
- Clear and professional communicator, both written and verbal
