The Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Paralegal to join our Sydney CBD office on a permanent full-time basis, assisting a Special Counsel and a Senior Associate with matters in Immigration Law. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about immigration law. There will be potential for career progression within the firm.
Please note, due to the requirements of this full-time position, we are unable to consider applications from current law students.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive file and document management
- Regular client liaison
- Coordination of police checks and translations
- Immigration document drafting
- Proactive handling of solicitor and client requests
- Providing high-level support to the team
- Legal research when necessary
- Ad-hoc administrative tasks
Successful Candidates Will Have
- A genuine interest and/or experience in Immigration Law (essential)
- Paralegal experience ( at least 12 months full-time equivalent)
- Confidence in client and professional interactions
- Strong communication, organisational and file management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail
