Rita Yousef

Rita is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law. She joined Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers in June 2023 and is part of our compensation law practice. She handles a variety of claims including those arising out of motor vehicle accidents, travel accidents, medical negligence, and work injuries, as well as public liability claims.

Rita’s career has included vast experience in legal publishing, commercial management, product development and strategy roles through LexisNexis.

She has contributed to publications such as the Personal Injury Law Manual, Comparable Verdicts in Personal Injury Claims, Elite Agent, Precedent and the Law Society Journal.

Rita has also participated in several media interviews regarding the White Island volcano disaster. This includes media outlets in Australia and overseas, such as Four Corners (ABC) and Radio NZ.

• Rita completed Bachelor’s degrees in Law (with Honours) and in Arts in Communications (Journalism) through the University of Technology, Sydney.
• She was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2009.
• She became an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law in 2020.

• She became a member of the Law Society of NSW Injury Compensation Committee in 2020.
• She became a member of the Law Society of NSW Specialist Accreditation Committee in 2020.
• She became a member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance Committee in 2024.
