Ian Temby AO QC will reflect on his time in the law and the relationship between the Independent Commission Against Corruption, the Courts and the Parliament.
Mr Temby has been a significant legal figure in the public sector and private practice in Australia for decades.
He was the inaugural Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions and involved in a number of high profile prosecutions.
He was then the first Commissioner of the Independent Commission Against Corruption.
In 2001 he conducted a Royal Commission into the finance broking industry in Western Australia.
The Independent Commission Against Corruption has proven to be an important but at times controversial institution with significant powers and responsibilities in New South Wales.
