Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers: Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Our approach to working with you during the pandemic
19 March 2020Our community is currently dealing with an unprecedented health crisis caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
This crisis impacts all of us – our people, our clients, our families, our communities – and the situation is changing day-by-day. The safety and wellbeing of all in our society is our highest priority.
The firm’s leadership group is monitoring daily the evolving COVID-19 outbreak and actively monitoring advice from government health authorities. We will continue to act on the advice of those health experts.
The firm is open for business. We will be reviewing and changing how we work in the coming days and weeks to ensure that we can continue to service our clients in a timely and effective way.
We have increased our usage of teleconference and video-conference services for our meetings and conferences. We have reduced our face-to-face contact, as well as domestic travel, as part of ‘social distancing’.
At this stage, all of our offices are open for business, although many staff are already working remotely. We do expect to have an ongoing, albeit more limited, physical presence in our offices as many of our people plan to work remotely and in the office on a rotating basis. We will keep these working arrangements under review.
We will continue to adapt our business practices in response to changes in government policy and announcements by the courts and tribunals.
